20 Essential N64 Games You Must Play Before You Die

3. GoldenEye 007

Rare

It must feel pretty great to know that you're responsible for one of the most revered titles of all time.

Simultaneously making a video game based on a film franchise that didn't totally suck and pioneering various FPS elements that are included to this day in modern shooters as standard features (stealth gameplay, in-depth, objective-based story missions), GoldenEye 007 is both an oddity and a bona fide classic.

Everyone will fondly remember the countless hours spent completing the campaign in Secret and 00 Agent difficulties in their youth to unlock the secret Aztec and Egyptian stages, just as they do the amount of times that one friend would always play as Oddjob in multiplayer just to irritate you.

Good times.
