20 Most Frustrating Video Game Moments Ever

5. Campers - Any Online Shooter

Call Of Duty Black Ops2TreyarchOne of the more irritating (if apparently "legitimate") strategies in online FPS games is camping, whereby a player scopes out a sneaky spot on the map and simply picks enemy players off, usually using a sniper rifle from afar. What makes it so annoying is that, even with the advent of killcams, locating a camper and taking them down can be extremely difficult, because they tend to hide themselves when not firing, and if they're smart, may even move between various camping spots to keep their precious kill-death ratio in tact. It's a lame tactic because it hinges on the opposition being the aggressor while you sit back and rack up the kills. After all, if everyone camped, these games would be pretty damn boring, so while camping does require patience and concentration, it's also lame and goes against the idea of thunderous, fast-paced fun that defines the majority of online shooters.
