20 Most Frustrating Video Game Moments Ever

1. Water Temple - The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time

Zelda Ocarina Of TimeNintendoNow we come to perhaps the most maligned level in any hugely popular video game ever. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time may be a revolutionary adventure game in many aspects, but it still can't resist throwing in a facepalm-inducing water level just to throw us off course, and adhere to that rule that every great game has to have one sucky level. Much like the aforementioned Turtles Dam level, the Water Temple introduces sluggish water controls, and much like Halo's Library, is a confusing mixture of repetitive locations and irritating enemies. With players having to find keys and adjust water levels constantly, it's not uncommon for gamers to find themselves spending two or three hours trudging through this God-forsaken Hellhole, and even once you make it through, it's enough to make you not want to play the game again for at least a few days. The stress, the anger and the exasperation wrought from such a deliberately infuriating level makes us just want to grab Shigeru Miyamoto by his head and ask him what the Hell we ever did to him to deserve such cruel treatment.
