20 Most Frustratingly Difficult Video Game Levels Of All Time

12. Sephiroth (Kingdom Hearts)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=463JY-_sN0A The chief antagonist of Final Fantasy VII and an entity often cited as being one of the most malevolent baddies in all of gaming, Final Fantasy fans will be pleased their evil poster-boy is honoured as the toughest challenge in Kingdom Hearts, while everyone else is gutted that the optional boss is so ridiculously gruelling. Sephiroth is a master swordsman (you would expect no less of someone wielding the Masamune), is extremely speedy and has a vast arsenal of potent magical attacks which are instantly capable of halting your efforts to beat him in their tracks. Highlights of Sephiroth€™s punishing playbook in Kingdom Hearts include Stigma, Shadow Flares and Heartless Angel €“ an attack memorable for all the wrong reasons as it drains Sora's HP to 1 and MP to 0. The FFVII antagonist€™s ultimate attack is Super Nova, where he summons several Meteors to rain down upon the player€™s head, causing a distressing amount of damage if not successfully avoided. Add into the mix his overpowered magical resistance and you can see why the likes of Jafar and Ursula should have been begging Sephiroth for the secrets to his power. The platinum-haired angel would return in Kingdom Hearts 2, though developers Square Enix had mercifully scaled down the challenge somewhat. WhatCulture Tip: Don€™t attempt to defeat the one-winged angel below level 70.
