The total mind job that is Jack's (that's you, in case you'd forgotten) climactic confrontation with Rapture's leader has gone down in gaming history as one of its greatest, and not just because of the revelation that you've been a slave to that three-word phrase all along. Irrational Games don't even give your brain a measly few seconds to process the twist; Ryan already has you repeatedly bludgeoning his face with a golf club while you sit there, dumbfounded by the previous few minutes of dialogue. There's no warning, no player choice or alternate path that could have been taken - Ryan's lifted the veil over your eyes and proving his point by making you brutally murder him.
