20 Greatest First-Person Shooter Levels Of All Time

15. Bad Trouble A Knockin' - Bulletstorm

bulletstorm-wallpaper-1280x768-600x300 Bulletstorm was loud, crass and a Hell of a lot of fun due to playing as Space Pirate outlaw, Grayson. The aim of the game was to kill as many freaks in as many different stylish ways as possible, all while trying to escape off the planet you've crash landed on. After rescuing your arch enemy Saranno - due to him being your only ticket off the rock - you head deep underground to a prison, filled with radiation. The descent down is breathtaking as you take in the scope and size of this place- Saranno informs you it's big enough for twenty eight thousand inmates- the majority of which ended up mutating and having a prisoner revolt. The level was filled with awesome encounters with enemies including snipers and fending off a horde of bugs from destroying the elevator out of the place. Saranno himself also added to the level with his foul mouthed commentary throughout. I'm surprised this game doesn't have a record for the amount of swearing per-sentence.

14. L.A. Meltdown - Duke Nukem 3D

The first game on our list that was partly responsible for popularizing the FPS genre in the early '90s. Duke blasted onto the PC to a myriad of controversy, most notable being the excessive violence and his love for objectifying women. The feminists hated him, all us men however, loved him. In the first episode entitled L.A Meltdown, Duke has to fight through a dystopian L.A after crash landing there after the previous game. He gets captured at a strip club by the series favorite- the Pig Cops. He escapes the prison they are holding him in and after killing the Battlelord boss- Duke discovers the aliens are capturing women- outrage! Technically the L.A Meltdown was a level in Duke but the levels are short enough for me to justify having the entire episode in this list, it featured individual sections such as a strip club and an old movie theater.
