Alien: Isolation is arguably the most faithful video game adaptation of a movie franchise ever. The aesthetics almost perfectly match those of Ridley Scott's original film, while the nail-biting tension captures what made the series so scary (and compelling) in the first place. The main attraction of Alien: Isolation might be the alien itself, but the creature doesn't make an appearance until a couple of hours into the campaign. This cranks up the tension to almost unbearable levels, as you see shifting shadows in the distance, and newfound allies being whipped up ventilation shafts. When the alien finally reveals itself in a cloud of steam, as you hide just inches away, it's a perfect representation of what terrified audiences way back in 1979. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j2Jp9-ilhNI
