For all the discussion about the technicalities behind the game's graphics, it's easy to forget just how good the gameplay is in Crysis. Infamous for its high system requirements, Crysis set several milestones in graphical design, looking incredible even today. Although Crysis became markedly less fun in its closing hours, the majority of the game was a masterpiece of open world action. Crysis' encounters really let the player take advantage of the huge environments around them, making a multitude of approaches viable.
