For a certain group of players, the fact that there hasn't been a single TimeSplitters game in either this or last console generation is heartbreaking. The TimeSplitters trilogy offered an incredibly good time for friends playing together in the same room, with its absurd mix of GoldenEye-esque gameplay and gun-toting monkeys. Although every game from the trilogy was strong, TimeSplitters 2 is widely considered to be the best of the three. Created almost solely as a multiplayer experience, TimeSplitters 2 featured over a dozen different modes that went far beyond just the usual deathmatch options. There was even a revolutionary map creator built in to the game, giving TimeSplitters 2 almost limitless replayability.
