Developer: Blizzard Entertainment Released: 2010 Were it not for the incredible impact of its predecessor, StarCraft II: Wing of Liberty is a game that would ordinarily feature much higher. However, because the game (intentionally) doesn't deviate substantially from the original StarCraft, and thanks to a few missteps by Blizzard, it's hard to place StarCraft II in the top ten. StarCraft II's campaign follows a similar format to the original, with a series of high-stakes missions across the galaxy. It's beautifully told once again, although some were annoyed that only Terrans are represented in the single-player (with the other two factions' stories told in expansions.) Despite qualms with the campaign, the multiplayer is still incredibly addictive, challenging and rewarding. It might not have changed or added a great deal, but why fix what isn't broken?
