The game originally featured two additional boss battles against extra members of Dead Cell, the questionably-monikered Chinaman and Old Boy, who in the final game are only mentioned briefly.

The former was apparently modeled on Jet Li and would've been a martial artist with the ability to walk on walls and even water, as well as toting a dragon tattoo that would come to life in water.

His boss fight was set to take place in the chamber where you fight Vamp the first time.

As for Old Boy, he was a mutant war veteran at over 100 years of age, who was a mentor to Big Boss and fought primarily using World War II weaponry. His boss fight would've involved him sending a fleet of paratroopers after Raiden.

Ultimately Old Boy's concept was recycled for The End in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
