3. Game Freak Hides References To An Earlier Game In Pokémon
Even though Game Freak are best known for the Pokémon series, they did actually produce games before then - they worked on some early Mario and Yoshi games for Nintendo in the 90s. They also made a couple of games for Sega's Mega Drive.
One of these was the platformer Pulseman, which was only released in America and Europe on the Wii Virtual Console - but Game Freak keep hiding references to it in their most famous series.
For example - in Diamond and Pearl, Rotom was introduced into the games, which has a suspiciously similar aesthetic to the protagonist of Pulseman.
