Jynx is one of the stranger looking Pokémon, with its huge lips and odd looking body. Now, Jynx can be seen with a purple face and hands - but that wasn't the original colour scheme. Jynx's original form had blue gloves, but more importantly its face was black rather than purple.

Naturally, many people saw this as fairly offensive - it's hard to miss that Jynx looks like it's dressed up as a stereotype of black people.

After receiving a number of complaints from people who had played the games, Nintendo were forced to go back and change their design into the one that we see today. It's still pretty hideous, but at least it isn't racially insensitive.
