20 Most Jaw-Dropping Games of 2012

3. Journey

Easily the most gorgeous game of 2012. Journey looks like something Pixar would animate if they created a project immersed in Eastern philosophy. The game is aptly summarized in title, starring a single robed figure as it makes its way across a variety of terrain toward a mountain in the distance. Along the way you€™ll often run into other travellers who you can interact with €” but you won€™t know their screen-names, making your interaction with them more special than if you were simply loading up another multiplayer session of an FPS. All of this may sound a tad boring, but Journey is one of those games that you really can€™t comprehend the experience by reading about it or just watching€”the game defies description and is much more than the sum of its parts. YOU have to be in control of the avatar, beholding the beauty of the world and of Austin Wintory€™s soundtrack. Get your hands on this game. Along with Metal Gear Solid 4, Heavy Rain, and Uncharted, Journey is a must-have Sony exclusive.
