15. Lizbeth/Aaron Covenant - Clive Barker's Undying

If you think your family get-togethers are a nightmare, just remember that you could always have it worse: you could be Jeremiah Covenant.

Thanks to a curse inflicted upon the Covenants as a children, Jeremiah's siblings have gone mad and died off, leaving him the sole survivor - but not for long. His brothers and sisters have risen from the grave and made it their personal mission to make Jeremiah's life a living hell along with pretty much anybody who sets foot inside the Covenant estate. And boy, are these sickos damn good at their chosen vocation.

Of the four siblings though, my personal favorites are Lizbeth and Aaron Covenant. The former was revived as a ravenous vampire who's tough as nails, incredibly agile and all but impossible to kill with anything less than complete decapitation and the latter's ghost spends a good portion of the game shadowing you throughout the estate.

With her tattered, blood-soaked gown and dripping fangs, Lisbeth's furious countenance is etched into your memory the second she steps onscreen, but it's Aaron's backstory - particularly the details surrounding his gruesome death - that really conveys the full extent of the madness gripping the family.

Let's just say that if you took one glance at the red-headed corpse in the Covenant portrait above and thought of Pinhead's hooks... you're halfway there.
