20 Most Underrated Pokémon In History
7. Mawile
Another that's benefitted from the addition of the Fairy Type with the sixth generation, Mawile is a Pokémon that again capitalises on having very few typing weaknesses. The Steel/Fairy combo exposes it to so little, so in the most basic format it's already a worthy competitor.
But, while most Fairy Types tend to be distance battlers, Mawile's strong physical attributes and combined Steel Type make it quite the rough customer. It's able to really get the best of Play Rough, a move that's otherwise wasted on a lot of Fairy Types.
Mawile is also surprisingly geared towards longevity, meaning you can couple its Stockpile move with either Swallow or Spit Up (or both, if you really want) to play to either its frustrating or attacking sides. This is a very versatile Pokémon.
