20 Predictions For 2017 Video Games' Metacritic Scores

7. Splatoon 2 (76)

Red Dead Redemption Metacritic
Nintendo

Splatoon 2 looks like a ton of fun, but it also looks incredibly similar to the original game, such that it'll probably score a few points below its solid 81 score.

Basically, it'll be worth picking up for fans of the first game, though they might want to wait until the price drops a little considering how it seemingly doesn't do much to innovate the first game's formula.

The Switch's inherent novelty factor will ensure it isn't lambasted too much for its lack of originality, considering that playing Splatoon on the move should keep it from feeling too much like a glorified port with a shiny new skin.
