20 Predictions For 2017 Video Games' Metacritic Scores

19. Mass Effect: Andromeda (87)

Red Dead Redemption Metacritic
Bioware

Mass Effect: Andromeda has a lot of fans incredibly anxious due to a) the horrendous ending of the third game and resulting backlash b) the strangely low-key marketing campaign for the new game and c) a shift towards open-world-but-definitely-not-open-world gameplay that marks a fair departure for the series.

Still, considering that even ME3 scored an impressive 89-93 on Metacritic, it'd be foolish to bet against the franchise with this new entry, especially considering the amount of time BioWare have spent developing it.

It probably won't be among the better-reviewed of the four games, and the safe bet puts it on the very lower end for the franchise, but it'll still be one of the year's most acclaimed AAA titles regardless.
