We're calling it now: Red Dead Redemption 2 will receive more Game of the Year awards than anything else released in 2017.

Rockstar Games' reputation is obviously beyond reproach, and their high standard almost never falters when it comes to big-budget AAA entertainment.

RDR2 will likely build on GTA V's innovations, probably including a character-switching gimmick and a ton more online features than the previous game, which will make it feel like a substantial evolution of the 2010 classic.

Of course, it'll struggle to live up to the same level of storytelling and characterisation, but come on, this is Rockstar we're talking about. There's basically no way it scores under 90 short of a major screw-up.
