20 Problems Only FIFA Players Will Understand

3. Judging A Player Solely On Their Physical Stats

Say you and your friend decide to play a game with some lesser star teams for a bit of a laugh. Neither of you really know anybody who plays in the Eredivisie, but hey, how bad can it be? You go into Team Management and start evaluating players; generally speaking, you'll only be looking at the first page - Physical Stats. If they've got red stats, they're out. All green? They've just become the team's new star striker. Even five star teams get the same treatment. A player's passing and shooting stats may be mightily impressive but without equally impressive acceleration, sprint speed and strength, they might as well prepare to be sat in the reserves. It might not sound fair but hey, that's Fifa.

2. Scoring A Sweaty Goal Is Akin To Declaring War

A 'sweaty goal' (or 'tramp goal', if you're that way inclined) is when a player is one on one with the keeper but passes sideways instead of shooting to get an easy tap in. It's the cheapest way to score goals in Fifa and if you play online, you're guaranteed to come across them. They're enraging but it's pretty funny how we react when we concede one. Some people decide that retaliation is the best course of action; if they're going down the cheap road, why shouldn't I? Some people decide that they've already won a moral battle with their opponent. Some people (a very minute section of the Fifa community) might not even care. Still, be prepared for the consequences when you sweat it out online.

I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
