15. Boring New Characters & A Lifeless Open World - Mass Effect: Andromeda
Why It Might Suck: Despite releasing at the end of March, the marketing campaing for the fourth Mass Effect has been curiously quiet, which to many is proof enough that the game's going to release as a rushed mess.
While the little we've seen is interesting and promising to a degree, many are naturally concerned that the shift to more open-world exploration could invite a feeling of listlessness in players, and that the new cast of characters won't be as charming as those from the original trilogy. Very justifiable worries, really.
Why It Might Not: Bioware have clearly spent a long time honing this game, which is itself fairly encouraging after Mass Effect 3 was rushed out and the end product clearly suffered for it.
Time spent is no sure indicator of quality, but if the end product feels shoddy or incomplete, Bioware will rightly get absolutely massacred for it (and they sure as Hell know it).
