20 Reasons 2017's Biggest Video Games Might Suck
14. It Tries To Be Too Different - Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
Why It Might Suck: With original developers Naughty Dog having moved on from the Crash Bandicoot franchise, it's up to Vicarious Visions to tag in and try and deliver a nostalgic reprise of the classic platforming trilogy.
There's the understandable worry that Vicarious may attempt to impart their own creative stamp on the games rather than bring them to gamers largely untouched, apart from the necessary graphical and mechanical upgrades.
Moreover, Crash doesn't need to level up, and the game doesn't need microtransactions for more apples and Aku Aku masks.
Why It Might Not: The gameplay shown off to date is definitely hitting the right notes, and the best evidence we have that this is just a shinier version of the Crash we know and love.
