20 Ridiculously Low Game Ratings You Won’t Believe

5. Atelier Rorona: The Alchemist Of Arland: 65

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21MVDtq-w2M Atelier Rorona is the first game in the Atelier series for the PS3. Though a remake came out recently, this initial iteration wasn't a bad game at all. The story focuses on Rorona, a young apprentice to a lackadaisical master alchemist. Unfortunately, the workshop Rorona works at will be condemned if she can€™t prove that they€™re legitimate alchemists. So, the Kingdom gives her a monthly task to complete. Featuring multiple endings, a fun battle system, a calendar system similar to the Persona series, and an overall enjoyable story and cast of characters;what could be so €œwrong€ with it that it gets a 65? Sadly, the reviews cited are some of the most ignorant found on Metacritic. One states €œWhile the presentation as well as the fighting system are a good approach for children, the alchemy system is hard as a rock. WTF dialogue accompanies the game, and so it's not worth a recommendation€. Another claims the game is more suited to €œyoung girls€. IGN parrots the bizarre €œWTF dialogue€ complaint, with PSM3 UK eloquently stating €œIt just isn't that interesting€. To sum it up, these reviewers were off-put by the pink €œmoe anime€ styling of the game and essentially couldn€™t get past that. Pretty pathetic.
