1. There's Always Something More Badass than The Big Badass Bad Guy

The life of an adventurer is never done. Even when you're finished dealing with the antagonist you've been plagued with for weeks on end, there's always usually multiple creatures that roam the planet that are infinitely more dangerous than the main villain. It is unknown why the villain never tries to harness the power of these creatures, but it seems as if he'd much rather do it all himself instead. Even though there's probably a monster with the power to destroy the world nearby, it's much easier to do it by summoning a slow-moving meteorite that gives the party ample time to stop it.
