20 Things You Didn't Know About Rocket League

8. It Grossed $110 Million In Revenue Within A Year Of Its Release

With its small $2 million budget, Psyonix could never have dreamed of how much money Rocket League would print for them in its first year alone, with 5 million copies sold resulting in $110 million in revenue before the year was even up.

Better still, by March 2017, the game had reportedly sold 10.5 million copies worldwide, which would equate to upwards of $200 million in revenue, and a further three years on, we're clearly talking crazy money.

For a modest sports game such as this to become a pop-culture behemoth in its own right, without losing what made it great no less, is truly wonderful to see.
