Even though Rocket is the gorilla that gets the most hate, there's something about Al the ape that doesn't feel right. Because of his muscular build and red top, it feels like this primate is based on Donkey Kong. But his dead stare, lime-coloured skin, and agape mouth makes him look freaky.

It's a shame that Al freaks out some players since he's one of the nicest villagers in the series. Because his lifestyle revolves around getting buff, you'd assume he's a jock. However, he's a lovely fellow who's always eager to help you.

However, people would probably be more willing to accept his help if he didn't resemble the terrifying cymbal-banging monkey from Toy Story 3.
