20 Video Games That Defined 20 Years Of PlayStation
19. PaRappa The Rapper
It's safe to say that only Sony would publish a game starring a dog that has rapping contests with his teachers in order to get to the front of the queue for the bathroom. PaRappa The Rapper was just so downright bizarre that it grabbed people's attention and managed to keep it by being a lot more than a giant bowl of weird. Beneath all its eccentricities there was a great game with addictive gameplay that was wrapped up neatly in innovative sound design and a unique visual aesthetic. It was easy for anyone to pick up and play, and quickly developed a cult following. Despite only starring in two games, PaRappa was given a place on the PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale roster; cementing his place in history as a PlayStation icon.
