20 Video Games That Secretly Reward You For Failure
7. Fail To Shoot The Tracies - Detroit: Become Human
In Detroit: Become Human you play as three different androids caught up in the events of the upcoming machine revolution.
Out of these three protagonists, Connor, the CyberLife deviant hunter, is the only one whose mission is to track down the rebellious androids and put an end to their uprising.
However, if you value his life and relationship with his reluctant partner, Hank, you should fail Connor's mission instead.
Over the course of the investigation, Connor gets to build up his relationship with Hank by uncovering the upcoming revolution together. However, there are two crucial moments in the game when doing your job will actually sour Hank's opinion of you so badly, you will never get to repair it again.
The first moment is when you shoot the two runaway Tracies as they are about to escape the strip club they worked at. The second is shooting Kamski's companion, Chloe, in exchange for information about the revolution.
In either case, it may seem like the moral sacrifice is what you need to solve the case, but failing to act upon these clues is the only way to keep Hank sympathetic to you and not turn against you during the final act of the game.
