20 Video Games That Secretly Reward You For Failure
8. Bail On Iosefka's Clinic - Bloodborne
Bloodborne is a treacherous Soulslike where nothing is as it seems. The enemies can ambush you out of nowhere, the map is filled with traps and dead ends, and the longer you play, the more you realize that the entire world is just one huge illusion.
For this reason, it’s best to not trust anything, even if it seems to be the right path. The best example of this is Iosefka’s clinic.
Early in the game, you meet with a kind-hearted nurse named Iosefka, who tells you she’s opened a clinic that can act as a safe haven for survivors scattered throughout Yharnam.
This interaction leads to a small side quest where you can direct every encountered survivor to Iosefka’s clinic so that they can find a safe refuge amidst the curse-ridden city.
However, this is just another trap set up by the game, as later on, it turns out that Iosefka has been long dead, and this entire time, you were sending people to a crazed impostor, who kills everyone you’ve sent her way.
For this reason, while not directing people to Iosefka's clinic might seem like failing your objective to keep them safe, it's secretly the best way to ensure those poor people's safety.
