9. The Game's Best Jump Scare
Surprisingly, RE7 isn't actually full of too many pant-filling jump scares, but there are a few undeniably effective ones, especially during the Marguerite portion of the game.
The best of all comes when you're about to use the crow key in the house, and Marguerite suddenly emerges in front of you out of nowhere.
If you were brave enough to play the game in VR, you'll know how absolutely terrifying this jump was, likely followed by a string of panicked expletives on your part.
Jump scares can be cheap as Hell, but in this game they're smartly used sparingly, and the added novelty of VR takes the fear to a whole new level.
