16. Mia Attacks Ethan
At the very beginning of the game, Ethan tracks down Mia, and the two attempt to escape. Soon enough, however, Mia begins acting strangely and attacks Ethan, cutting his hand up, before an axe fight takes place and Ethan appears to kill his wife.
It's not over yet, though, as Mia then re-appears, stabs Ethan's hand into the wall and brings out a chainsaw, slicing Ethan's hand clean off. Thankfully at this point the player gets a pistol, which they can use to down the chainsaw-wielding Mia...for now.
It sure is a bats*** insane way to start the game, that much is certain, and Ethan's total lack of emotion with regard to what's going on makes it unexpectedly quite amusing indeed.
