Much like their filmic brethren, George Lucas' game contingent LucasArts were making much better titles in the old days, riding high on a string of grade-A quality titles - running the gamut from the sci-fi lunacy of Day of the Tentacle, to the fairytale-aping hilarity of the Monkey Island series. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuqVe-jpkt0#t=97 Even with all the adventures that Guybrush would go on, it's this first nonchalant stroll out from nowhere that perfectly sums up his intentions, and the series overall. Naturally with this being LucasArts back in their prime, the dialogue exchange that follows with an old seadog-sage has become just as quotable and historic within gaming's nerd echelon as the likes of Monty Python has in film.
