7. Call Of Duty: Black Ops III

Where do you stand on Call of Duty being set in the future versus the past? Recently, as more and more footage trickles out of Activision HQ in regards to where it looks like the franchise is heading following Advanced Warfare's shakeup of the core mechanics, fans have been getting increasingly vocal about wanting to return to the World War 2 settings of the original instead. Perhaps at this point that could be a welcome change, but considering how many hundreds of games focussed on this time period following Medal Of Honor's first march up Omaha Beach in 2002's Frontline, it'll only be an exercise in the series devouring its own tail. E3 will surely see one of the biggest company conferences ending with Black Ops III (probably Microsoft), so look to a lengthy gameplay demo that either allays fans' fears or reinforces them.
