8. Lego: Dimensions

Have you seen the amount of franchises the chaps over at Lego have wrangled together for Lego: Dimensions? It reads like a who's who of pretty much anything you'd willingly hurl your cash at. From The Simpsons to Doctor Who, Portal, Back to the Future, Batman, Jurassic World and Scooby Doo all set to contribute to the game's cross-medium-jumping campaign, it's sure to be one of the best Lego games yet. Hopefully the developers have access to each properties' respective audio tracks too, as one of the best Lego games in recent memory was their take on The Lord of the Rings, which saw the actual audio from the movies transferred across to the hilariously-animated Lego versions in the game. Ever since The Avengers proved it's possible to mash together any and all your favourite heroes into one giant uber-combo, everybody's been doing it. This marks the first time such an elaborate combination of properties have combined in a game context though, and if this can essentially be the Lego Movie ethos in game form, alongside all the construction and customisation properties that come alongside, it'll be something special indeed.
