5. Batman: Arkham Knight
This is it - the final part of one of the most beloved and treasured franchises in all of gaming; Rocksteady's Arkham series. Discarding the actually-pretty-solid Origins, the developer set about weaving one of the best myths in video game history; showing a mysterious, masked villain besting Batman before insisting he was a completely new character. Naturally nobody believed them, and to this day some of the
craziest fan theories out there purport to it being anyone from the Joker to the Red Hood, or even a clone of Bruce created to take him down. Unless anything major gets announced as releasing immediately after shown, Arkham Knight is the only game on this list guaranteed to drop this year (on June 23rd) - but that won't stop Rocksteady from putting the final touches on their PR spin across E3. Who is the Arkham Knight? Does the Batmobile combat make or break the game, and just how much are people going to be annoyed they can't get their hands on all the game's content without spending a small fortune across all the various bundle deals? E3 will tell all.
