21 Video Games We'd Put On A Mini PS1
5. Heart Of Darkness
Heart of Darkness is a game that was way, way ahead of its time. It's also criminally underappreciated.
A 2D side-scrolling adventure, Heart of Darkness is very similar to games such as Flashback, Another World and the very first incarnation of Prince of Persia. The game tells the story of a young boy whose dog is kidnapped by shadow creatures; hopping in his conveniently-placed dimension-travelling spaceship in his treehouse, our young hero sets off into an alternate world where evil reigns.
You're never quite sure whether all of this is happening in his head or if it's really happening, but one thing you do know is Heart of Darkness looks great. With fluid animations and a cinematic quality all of the way through, this is a game that anyone who ever owned a PS1 should have played, but probably didn't.
