21 Video Games We'd Put On A Mini PS1

3. MediEvil

He's not the chattiest of protagonists (what with being dead for a couple of hundred years) but Sir Dan Fortesque still gave us all a hell of good time in his romp through the graveyards, mausoleums and pumpkin patches of Gallowmere.

MediEvil is a rather unique game. Once minute you're battling gargoyles with your trusty hammer and the next you're jumping over tricky platforming sections. The main hook to keep you playing throughout is the Chalice system; Sir Dan must kill enough enemies per level to fill up a chalice and you can then collect it. Doing so gains you access to the fabled Hall of Heroes, where Dan will be gifted with a new weapon or item.

The weapons of MediEvil are great; you start off with a simple sword and shield but by the end you'll be weilding an actual fire-breathing dragon head and lighting bolts will shoot from the palm of your hand.

I've often said MediEvil would be one of those games that would be great for a reboot on the PS4 - Sir Dan has been left in his crypt for too long now (he was last seen battling other PS characters in PS All Stars Battle Royale).
