21 Video Games We'd Put On A Mini PS1
2. Grand Theft Auto
We're also used to GTA by now; it's the ultimate city crime simulator. It's a massive sandbox where you can do whatever you want, ranging from leaping off hills on a motorbike to leaping off a pedestrian's face on a motorbike.
But GTA, like most games, has very humble beginnings. The original GTA is a top-down, open-world-ish shooting game where you must drive, shoot and (optionally) run people over to complete a wide variety of missions.
There was nothing quite like GTA on the market at the time; you had multiple cities (Liberty, Vice and San Andreas, all of which carried over into other entries in the series), selectable characters and you were basically free to cause as much mayhem as you could. Many gamers will have particularly fond memories of passing the controller between friends, seeing who could rack up the highest score and cause the most untold destruction.
It's amazing to think that GTA was once this small and not the multi-million pound juggernaut it is today.
