The long-awaited first trailer for Mass Effect: Andromeda dropped at E3 to an ecstatic response, with a tentative "holiday 2016" release date. The glossy CGI trailer certainly evoked the mood and style fans of the franchise are used to, but sadly there wasn't a single glimpse of gameplay. Yes, 18 months ahead of release is indeed an early time to start showing off gameplay, but plenty of games have done it (Watch Dogs for one, even if it was ultimately heavily delayed from its original date), and many were no doubt hoping that Andromeda would join the pack. Still, you probably won't have to wait until next E3 to see it in action, as that would be certainly pushing it as far as the game's immense hype train goes.
