Verdict: Wii Play is basically a short, sweet demo for the Wiimote and not a whole lot more. There are nine mini-games to choose from, which as you can probably guess, don't take long to breeze through. Nintendo basically attempted to make a broad introduction to the Wii with this title, but in trying to focus the game on such a wide audience, they've basically pleased very few.

The game was smartly released on the cheap and bundled with a Wiimote, because on its own, there's not really more than an hour or two of play to wring out of this one, and that's if you've really got some patience. If you know the ins and outs of controlling the Wii, stick to pretty much any other party game on the console.
