10. Dead Space
No compilation of the goriest video games would be complete without Dead Space and its sequel. The Necromorphs are some of the most grotesque representations of body horror youll ever see; a bloody and vile combination of the horrors straight out of the minds of David Cronenberg and H.P. Lovecraft.
As if that wasnt enough, the methods in which these monsters kill you are truly horrific in the way in which they violate your body. Between all the decapitations, eviscerations and mutilations, Isaac truly dies a thousand deaths.
Luckily, the gore goes both ways. The only way in which to dispatch the Necromorphs is to dismember them, which means you spend the majority of the game shooting and cutting off the limbs of these creatures. Basically, Dead Space is a bloodbath regardless of whos on the receiving end.
