25 Goriest Video Games Of All Time
11. Splatterhouse (2010)
If there was ever a title that lets you know what to expect, it's Splatterhouse. This remake of the 1988 beat 'em up takes the explicit blood and gore from that game and updates it for the modern gaming age, and the results are so explosive it soaks the screen.
You spend the majority of the time beating the crap out of monsters in either hand-to-hand combat or with weapons, including baseball bats and machetes. Everything you do in this game, including basic punches, results in blood splattering across the screen as you rip and eviscerate creatures big and small.
Splatterhouse is a simple game with a simple goal of covering your screen and everything in it with blood and guts, and in this respect it goes above and beyond.
