24. God Of War 2

Across the 2000s, Sony's list of flagship mascots sort of died off a little, but one that continued to be very easily recognisable is Kratos - simply because any mention of the guy tends to come with lashings of blood, gore and rage-filled screams.

Existing purely as nihilistic, escapist fever dreams, the second God of War sits nicely as the middle entry, continually expanding the angry Spartan's awesome moveset, but before GoW III would get carried away making his character someone who butchers everyone and everything in sight for no reason.
