7. Final Fantasy VI

Those who have played Final Fantasy VI usually consider it the best game in the series. It may be over 20 years old now, but this SNES game still makes it into the top ten on the strength of its incredible depth, characters, customisable battle system and story.

At the time it was also praised for its graphics and music, and is considered one of the best games ever released on the Super Nintendo.

A great example of the Japanese RPG genre. Like all games in the Final Fantasy series, you'll be playing this for a very long time if you want to see everything it has to offer.
