13. Microsoft (Finally) Puts Effort Into Indie Games
If there's one significant edge that the PS4 has had over the Xbox One so far, it's their immense and enthusiastic support for indie games, giving gamers a plethora of complimentary titles each month with their PlayStation Plus subscription, but E3 showed that Microsoft are finally going to take indie gaming dead seriously. They showed off a variety of timed and permanent console-exclusive indies, most promisingly Tacoma, Ashen, the visually stunning 1930s cartoon throwback Cuphead (pictured above), and even a new Army Men game. Things are looking up for the Xbox One's indie scene, which given the seeming artistic excellence on display, can be nothing but a good thing.
