14. Fallout 4 Gameplay Lives Up To The Hype... And It's Out This November

After Fallout 4 was officially announced at the beginning of June, Bethesda elaborated on one of the year's most anticipated games during their press conference, providing comprehensive gameplay footage and explaining a number of core additions to the franchise. From the intuitive character creator to the fully-voiced characters, substantially improved third-person camera, beefed-up VATS and new dog companion, it all looked pretty damn splendid. Hell, the Pipboy in Fallout 4 can even play classic games, including a not-so-subtle spoof of Donkey Kong. New features include the ability to scrap items in the world and rebuild instantly, as well as the requirement to help your settlement expand by setting up crops, a water supply, power generators, and artillery defenses to protect from raider attacks. In terms of customisation, there are 700 modifications for the 50 base weapons, achievable using world items such as a wrench, toy car, alarm clock and so on. Hell, you can make a freaking baseball bat with a circular saw stuck on the end, and you can also mod your giant power armour this time. Combat itself meanwhile demonstrated more obscene gore, a Thunderdome-style fighting arena, a gunship the player can fly around in, a jet-pack, and even the ability to blow up enemy gunships with a rocket launcher. It's out November 10th, and by God, it looks amazing.
