9. Rise Of The Tomb Raider Astounds, Dated For November 10
The long-awaited gameplay reveal of Rise of the Tomb Raider finally took place during Microsoft's conference, showing Lara Croft as she climbed the face of a mountain and had to deal with prevailing weather conditions which made her trek less than ideal. Simply, the snow-topped mountain looks gorgeous, the character models are fantastic, and the physics of scaling the ice is immaculate. Much like the series its predecessor was frequently likened to, Uncharted, the footage expertly weaves gameplay with cut-scene, making for a highly cinematic experience. Also, a brief montage showed off other regions of the game, specifically a tomb, something the original game was taken to task for lacking.
