8. Gears 4 Gameplay Reveal, Dated For Holiday 2016
Gears of War 4 (or Gears 4 as it was simply named) made its debut at E3, with a generous helping of gameplay footage depicting two new protagonists (a male named JD and an unnamed female) as they traverse a mountainside fortress that's being ripped apart by extreme weather conditions. The demo ends with JD on the floor as a gigantic, slobbering monster tries to eat his face, and was certainly a perfect taster for what The Coalition (aka Black Tusk Studos) will be doing with the Gears property after Microsoft purchased it from original developers Epic Games. No sign of Marcus Fenix, sadly, though hopefully he won't be left out entirely...
