18. The Incredible Hulk (PS2, PS3, 360)
Hulk smash...these ridiculous taxi fares! Possibly the best game from the Marvel universe, I could play this game every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of it. The Incredible Hulk has to be my favourite movie-based game to ever be released. It wasn't exactly great for its story or graphics, but it provided a gaming experience that no other game of its time could compare to, and that was its destructible environments. Although they weren't all that great looking (graphics-wise), they were enough to make me feel as though I was actually destroying a city. This was the first PS3 game I ever owned, as up until that point I had rented games from the local video-rental store (although I assume some of the younger ones reading this have no idea what that is). After several months of messing around in the open-world, I learned of another edition of the game: the GameStop disc. Basically, it was the same game, except for the fact that it had an extra costume. Although this may not seem like much, it was actually rather important to me at that time, and so I set out on the search for that limited edition copy. I still haven't found one.
Best Part: The fact that the developers tried to recreate all of New York's important buildings, which meant that players could use Hulk to re-enact King Kong!
17. Portal 1 & 2 (PS3, 360)
Such a simple idea, yet so many things to do with it. Portal redefined the puzzle-game genre and the song during the credits, Still Alive, was simply amazing. If you haven't played this game yet, I urge you to put your computer (or phone) away now and get all over this masterpiece. Portal 2 was a bit different from the first one, especially when it came to mechanics; gamers were introduced to several new ways to solve the puzzles and an exciting co-op mode. Everything that we loved from the original Portal was added to and improved upon in this sequel, everything except the end-song, which wasn't anywhere near as catchy as the one in the first Portal. There is only one reason as to why these aren't higher on the list; sometimes it got
too challenging and caused me to go into full-out Hulk mode. When that happened, all the fun was lost. By the way, if you were wondering, I would go into Red Hulk mode, which was, coincidentally, the costume that came with the GameStop edition of Hulk!
Best Part: Shooting a blue portal beneath your character's feet and an orange one above his head so that you keep falling forever.
