40 Most Entertaining PlayStation & Xbox Games Of All Time

16. Assassin's Creed II (PS3, 360)

Assassins Creed 2 This was the game to have. In its time, and quite possibly still today, this was the most fun anyone could have in a open-world. Insane parkour skills and all the weapons you could ask for? Yes please. Assassin's Creed II only improved upon the first game's addictive combat and stealthy hidden-blade kills. The free-running was also smoother, both in-game and in terms of control. Also, a big shout out to Ubisoft for choosing the perfect time to set this story in. With Assassin's Creed Revelations, III, and IV, I don't get the feeling that our protagonist is going in the right "time direction" for an AC game. Comment below if you want to see an Assassin in Ancient Greece next time! Best Part: Ezio. Just Ezio. His character, charisma, skills, and relatability were a welcome addition to the series after the slightly one-dimensional Altiar.

15. Guitar Hero & Rock Band (PS2, Xbox, PS3, 360)

Rockband Hey, don't get mad at me for grouping these two together! I felt as though they provided me with the same exact experience; both were fun while they lasted and contained terribly out of date (yet still great) rock songs. I recently replayed both games (specifically Guitar Hero II and Rock Band) and was so disgusted by the graphics that I nearly took both games off the list. However, this is a list about how fun games are and not how visually appealing they are. For the most part, these games were both lots of fun to play. Placing down my PS2 controller and donning my guitar never got old for the past me. However, now I can actually play the guitar (the real one), the games have, sadly, lost all appeal to me. Best Part: Gathering a group of friends (or in my case: friend) to join in the fun. At one point I had the drums rocking out with my guitar on full volume. Rock Band provided me (and my friend) with hours of fun.
